Weah, has completed and officially dedicated a 170-foot concrete pedestrian bridge in Kakata, Margibi County.<\/p>\n<p>The bridge, spanning Kamara Creek, connects the Dartuta and Mandingo Quarter communities. It features solar-powered streetlights to enhance safety during nighttime.<\/p>\n<p>The $16,500 project was fully funded by Damaro and handed over to the public during a ceremony held over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Damaro, a native of Margibi County, said he was inspired to build the bridge after witnessing schoolchildren and elderly women struggle to cross the creek. \u201cIt\u2019s not just about having money\u2014it\u2019s about having the will to give back, even if it\u2019s little,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that his development projects in the county are non-political and have been ongoing for six years, covering various sectors including healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), Damaro said his focus remains on community development through practical interventions.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was attended by community members, local leaders, and CDC officials, including National Chairman Janga Augustus Kowo. Kowo praised the project as part of the CDC\u2019s pro-poor agenda and said it would positively impact local lives.<\/p>\n<p>Residents of both communities expressed gratitude.
