Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Five students of the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) have departed Liberia for Spain to study at the Jaen University as part of a partnership agreement on exchange and Academic Corporation.<\/p>\n

They include: George Doe Large (College of Liberal Art), McDonald Gbasay (College of Business and Public Administration) and Bobby Kanasuah (College of Education).<\/p>\n

Others are: Mercy Toukpor Richards-College of Liberal Arts and Kulubo N. Koquoi (College of Business and Public Administration). The students departed the country for Spain over the week end via the Roberts International Airport.<\/p>\n

In a release issued in Monrovia shortly after the students\u2019 departure, the administration of the disclosed that the Academic Corporation with Jaen remains open to both graduate and undergraduate students.<\/p>\n

It disclosed that the exchange program will also include teachers and research staff. The university described the agreement as an important component of its academic program. It pointed out that the agreement signed with Jaen runs for a year with annual renewal under a four year span.<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, Students will be expected to pay for all personal expenses, including (but not limited to) travel, transportation, accommodation, meals, books, visas, insurance and entertainment as the host country takes none. But in this case, the AME University covered the cost for its students.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe collaboration and exchange of experiences and knowledge, as well as the growing relations between the two institutions are of best interest for the social and cultural progress of both parties,\u201d the release intimated.<\/p>\n

AME University President Alvin E. Attah lauded Jaen University for the partnership, stressing that it will go a long way in exposing students of both Universities to multicultural educational opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have covered the costs of expenses because we believe you are amongst some of our brightest students and it is incumbent upon you now to make a proper representation of AME University and Liberia at large,\u201d Rev. Dr. Attah averred.<\/p>\n
