Chapman United Methodist School in the New Georgia Housing Estate and issuing graduation certificates and report cards to students and parents of kids at the school.<\/p>\n<p>A statement issued by the Liberian Annual Conference says the Office of the Resident Bishop and the Ministry of Education have been duly informed of the situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt must be noted that only the official UMC administration of the Everlyn S. Chapman United Methodist School in the New Georgia Housing Estate is authorized to issue valid UMC report cards\u201d, the statement warns.<\/p>\n<p>The statement recalls that the Global Methodist Church (GMC), had earlier attempted to forcefully seize and vandalize the Everlyn S. Chapman United Methodist School in the New Georgia Housing Estate and the church edifice.<\/p>\n<p>It notes that in response to mounting violence and repeated attempts to seize UMC properties unlawfully, the LAC\/UMC petitioned the Civil Law Court, which has since declared the Liberia Annual Conference of the UMC the rightful owner of all its properties in Liberia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs part of its ongoing deception, the GMC sect continues to mislead its members, claiming that it has requested the presiding judge to recuse himself and rescind his ruling and that it has filed an appeal to the Supreme Court. This narrative has fueled further acts of lawlessness, including attempts to seize churches, health centers, and educational facilities that serve not only UMC members but also the broader Liberian public.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the LAC\u2019s statement, the Global Methodist Church recently staged a forceful takeover of the Weala Clinic in Margibi County, noting that such alleged actions are provocative and constitute clear violations of the rule of law.<\/p>\n<p>It says the GMC and its leadership are fraudulently falsifying and changing names of legitimate institutions, such as UMC clinics and schools, to possess those institutions<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe therefore call on the relevant authorities, including the Liberia Medical and Dental Council, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, and other institutions\u2014along with the general public,<\/p>\n<p>to note that the United Methodist Church in Liberia has not changed the names of any of its institutions, including the Everlyn S. Chapman United Methodist School in the New Georgia Housing Estate\u201d, the statement clarifies.<\/p>\n<p>The LAC warns parents, sponsors, and guardians to remain vigilant and avoid accepting school credentials that are not authorized by the Ministry of Education and the United Methodist School System, as doing so could jeopardize their children\u2019s educational future and prevent them from gaining admission to other universities.
