Cassel\u2019s People\u2019s Liberation Party has with immediate effect relieves three of its acting executive members for their alleged involvement in acts that the party described as contravening the norms, bylaws, and constitution of the party.<\/p>\n

Those relieved from their positions include former chairman Wilmot Paye, Henry Sackie, former Vice Chairman for Political Affairs, and Kansualism Kansuah, former Secretary-General of the party.<\/p>\n

Addressing a news briefing Tuesday in Monrovia at its headquarters, the party\u2019s Assistant Secretary-General for press and public affairs, Stephen Vorkpor said former chairman Wilmont Paye was removed following thorough investigations into countless numbers of complaints brought against him by some members of the General Policy Commission (GPC) and other local county officials of the party.<\/p>\n

The complaints filed against Paye according to Vorkpor was based on alleged gross violation of the constitutional rights of several members of the Party serving in leadership positions across several counties.<\/p>\n

Vorkpor noted that it was also established and confirmed that Paye directly instructed and authorized the Acting Montserrado County Chairman Washington to replace the entire leadership structure of the Montserrado County Youth Assembly with unknown members who have not been vetted and approved by the GPC.<\/p>\n

However, the PLP Assistant Secretary for press and public affairs noted that the former acting vice chairman for political affairs, Henry Sackie has dismally performed in using his office to politically move the party forward in keeping with the PLP\u2019s By-laws and Constitutions for which he was relieved.<\/p>\n

Vorpkor also said Kansualism Kansuah was relieved of his position for grossly deviating and poor performance during the period under review as far as the GPC is concerned.<\/p>\n

Vorkpor further added that Wilmot Paye, Henry Sackie, Kansualism Kansuah remain members of the PLP are encouraged to turn over all properties of the party which are in their possession.<\/p>\n

Speaking on a TV and Radio talk show Tuesday evening, Wilmot Paye described the decision of the party to relieve him of his position as a lack of self-confidence on the part of the party\u2019s political leader Dr. Daniel Cassel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
