It brought together personnel from the Maryland County detachments of the Liberian National Police (LNP), Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS), Community Watch Forums, and the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) Maryland Station. A brief closing ceremony was later held at Pleebo City Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the ceremony, AFL Maryland Station Commander PO1 Aloycious Bondo lauded the joint security personnel for their collective effort in executing the exercise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday marks the beginning of Liberia\u2019s Armed Forces Day activities,\u201d Commander Bondo said. \u201cAs we approach February 11, let us continue working together and always put Liberia first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also urged officers to remain vigilant, serve with integrity, and uphold professionalism in the discharge of their duties.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking, Regional Police Commander for LNP Region Five, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Moses Sepoh, pledged the full support of the Liberian National Police for activities marking the Armed Forces Day celebration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Liberian National Police is proud to be part of this initiative,\u201d DCP Sepoh stated. \u201cWe will continue to stand with the Armed Forces of Liberia as we celebrate our country\u2019s Armed Forces Day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Chair of the Joint Security in Maryland County and Commander of the Liberia Immigration Service, Abdul Jallahquay, emphasized unity among the security institutions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis togetherness has lasted over time and will continue,\u201d he said. \u201cLiberia is all we have, and working together is the only way forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Pleebo City Mayor Larry Geekor commended the joint security and residents for taking ownership of the city\u2019s cleanliness, describing the exercise as a strong example of collaboration between city authorities and national security institutions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA clean city is a healthy city,\u201d Mayor Geekor said. \u201cWe appreciate the joint security for leading by example, and we encourage citizens to maintain this level of cleanliness beyond the Armed Forces Day celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The clean-up campaign forms part of activities leading to the national observance of Liberia\u2019s Armed Forces Day, celebrated annually on February 11.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Liberia<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Liberia.
