Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Mentor ME, under its banner \u201cShaping Solutions with Excellence,\u201d has successfully graduated 20 mentees from the second cohort of its transformative mentorship program, marking another milestone in leadership development, personal growth and purpose-driven empowerment in Liberia.<\/p>\n

After four weeks of intensive learning, personal development, leadership training and mentorship, the Cohort 2 graduation ceremony brought together graduates, families, mentors and distinguished guests in a vibrant celebration of resilience, growth and achievement.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere was filled with joyful music, radiant smiles and heartfelt appreciation as the graduating class marched confidently through the hall in their black and purple attire, proudly reflecting the spirit and values of the program.<\/p>\n

For many graduates, the ceremony represented far more than the presentation of certificates it symbolized a life-changing journey of self-discovery, growth and preparation for the future.<\/p>\n

Several mentees described the experience as transformational, noting that the program helped them better understand their needs and wants, recognize their strengths and weaknesses and embrace their full potential and purpose.<\/p>\n

In a touching moment of gratitude, members of the graduating class presented a beautifully designed country shirt and hat to the Executive Director and Program Manager as a token of appreciation for their dedication and guidance throughout the program.<\/p>\n

Delivering the keynote address, Madam Ama Tukus Harris, a seasoned development and business professional, inspired the graduates with a powerful message on mentorship, humility, purpose, and professionalism.<\/p>\n

Madam Harris currently serves as Country Manager for Empowerment Squared in Liberia and Sales Manager for Brussels Airlines, demonstrating leadership in both the development and corporate sectors.<\/p>\n

In her remarks, she described mentorship as a lifelong learning process that can take many forms formal and informal and encouraged the graduates to remain open to lessons from every stage of life.<\/p>\n

She applauded the graduates for intentionally choosing a structured mentorship path, emphasizing that not many people take the bold step of submitting themselves to growth, accountability and transformation.<\/p>\n

Drawing from her personal life journey, Madam Harris urged the graduates to cultivate humility, take initiative and become \u201cthe salt of the earth\u201d by bringing value, character, and excellence into every space they enter.<\/p>\n

She reminded them that true impact is not measured by material possessions, but by the memories, values, and positive change they leave behind in the lives of others.<\/p>\n

Her closing charge to the graduates was clear and compelling: \u201cGo out there and be the salt of the earth. Let people see the difference in you, and let your life reflect purpose, excellence, and impact.\u201d<\/p>\n

Executive Director: \u2018Today Is Not Just a Celebration, It Is a Testimony\u2019<\/p>\n

In an emotional and inspiring address, Executive Director Promises Fernandez described the graduation as more than a ceremony it was a testimony of progress, commitment, and transformation.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday is not just a celebration, but it is a testimony. A testimony that progression leads to excellence and commitment is sustained by purpose. Transformation becomes inevitable,\u201d Fernandez declared.<\/p>\n

He praised the graduates for not merely enrolling in a program, but for submitting themselves to a process that stretched, challenged, and refined them.<\/p>\n

According to him, the mentees emerged stronger in knowledge, character, skill and focus.<\/p>\n

Fernandez also reminded the graduates that the ceremony marked not the end, but the beginning of a greater responsibility: the responsibility to live out everything they have learned.<\/p>\n

He reaffirmed the mission of Mentor ME as a platform committed to raising individuals who will shape systems, create opportunities, and pursue significance not just success.<\/p>\n

In his closing words, he gave the graduating class a threefold charge: Shine, Build, Lead. \u201cGo out there and shine. The world is full of darkness, and we are a few lights. The world is for you too. None of what you received here is a waste go out there and make it count,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the graduating class, Class President Leayee E. Togba delivered a thought-provoking message centered on entrepreneurial development and workplace professionalism.<\/p>\n

He described entrepreneurship as more than starting a business, calling it a mindset rooted in courage, resilience, innovation and the ability to create value where others see obstacles.<\/p>\n

He noted that entrepreneurial development plays a vital role in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and uplifting communities.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Togba stressed that ideas alone are not enough; success depends on how those ideas are executed and that is where professionalism becomes essential.<\/p>\n

According to him, workplace professionalism is reflected in attitude, behavior, communication, integrity, accountability and commitment to excellence.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that trust is the currency of every successful enterprise and that professionalism is ultimately defined not by position, but by character.<\/p>\n

He encouraged fellow graduates to develop both entrepreneurial and professional skills as they move into the next phase of life, urging them to build ventures and careers that generate both profit and impact.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the program, Program Manager Emmanuel M. Nagbe delivered the welcome remarks, expressing appreciation to mentors, guests, families, and graduates for their commitment to the journey.<\/p>\n

He praised the dedication of the mentees, the guidance of the mentors, and the support of all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the program.<\/p>\n

He described the event as a moment to celebrate not only achievement, but also the shared growth, learning, and encouragement that defined the mentorship experience.<\/p>\n
