Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>MONROVIA <\/b>\u2014 The president-elect of the Reporters Association of Liberia (RAL), J.H. Webster Clayeh, is calling on reporters across the country to embrace unity following the conclusion of the association\u2019s elections.<\/p>\n

Clayeh, a journalist with FrontPage Africa, emerged victorious last week in a tightly contested race against fellow journalist Barclay Karnley.<\/p>\n

\u201cComrade reporters, I want to thank you guy for conducting yourself in the right manner. You have make history. It\u2019s time that we call the brothers from the other side to join us to make the Reporters Association of Liberia great again,\u201d Clayeh told DN News Liberia after he was announced winner.<\/p>\n

He also extended his gratitude to reporters for the confidence they placed in him. \u201cThe overwhelming support and goodwill you have shown are deeply appreciated and serve as a strong source of motivation for me to lead with integrity, dedication, and purpose,\u201d he posted on social media.<\/p>\n

Clayeh reaffirmed his commitment to serving journalists across Liberia.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remain fully committed to advancing the interests and welfare of every reporter across the country, while ensuring that our collective voice remains strong, respected, and influential.\u201d<\/p>\n

Media Journey<\/b><\/p>\n

Clayeh has dedicated more than 15 years to journalism, contributing through credible reporting, ethical practice, and professional growth.<\/p>\n

His career began at The Informer newspaper under the guidance of Mr. Danicius Kaihenneh Sengbeh, now Communications Manager at the Liberia Revenue Authority. He later volunteered at the Versatile Pilot newspaper, a student-run publication of the University of Liberia, and contributed to Lux FM, the university\u2019s radio station.<\/p>\n

In 2015, Clayeh joined FrontPage Africa under the mentorship of Al-varney Rogers, who was then a reporter and is now a lawyer. Since then, he has reported extensively on health, the economy, gender issues, politics, culture, and many other issues.<\/p>\n

He is currently the longest-serving reporter assigned to the Ministry of Information, a role he has held for over a decade.<\/p>\n

Presently, he serves as FrontPage Africa\u2019s Executive Mansion Correspondent and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Correspondent, covering the Office of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti.<\/p>\n

Academic and Professional Achievements<\/b><\/p>\n

Clayeh is a graduate of the University of Liberia, Class of 2019 (Centennial Class). During his time at the university, he served as Information Minister of the University of Liberia Student Union (ULSU) under President Maiwo Flomo and Chairman Butu Levi of the Vanguard Student Unification Party (SUP).<\/p>\n

In 2020, he graduated as a member of Cohort 7 of the Young Political Leadership School (YPLS), founded by Eddie D. Jarwolo, a prominent democracy advocate in Liberia.<\/p>\n

His professional development includes international training in the People\u2019s Republic of China: In 2023, he earned certification from a seminar for Liberian media think tanks and senior scholars in Beijing.<\/p>\n

In 2025, he completed a seminar on media communication capacity for Liberian journalists in Changsha, Hunan Province.<\/p>\n

In addition to his journalism career, Clayeh is also a Foreign Service Officer, having graduated from the Gabriel L. Dennis Foreign Service Institute in 2025.<\/p>\n
