Africa-Press – Madagascar. <\/strong><\/span>Dans \u00ab Pastoralists, warriors and colonists : the archeology of southern Madagascar \u00bb, Mike Parker Pearson d\u00e9friche une piste rarement, voire jamais, emprunt\u00e9e par les chercheurs d\u2019ici ou d\u2019ailleurs. Ce livre s\u2019\u00e9tale, il lui a fallu plus de dix ann\u00e9es de recherche, sur l\u2019histoire des sites oubli\u00e9s d\u2019Andaro, Andranosoa et le domaine fortifi\u00e9 de Ramananga.<\/p>\n

Pour une surprise, cela en est une. Puisque ces lieux se trouvent dans le sud malgache, dans l\u2019Androy. L\u00e0-bas o\u00f9 souvent, la famine r\u00e9currente a fait oublier l\u2019existence d\u2019une \u00ab civilisation \u00bb proto-urbaine dont la pr\u00e9sence a \u00e9t\u00e9 situ\u00e9e entre le XIV\u00e8me et le XX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Selon des recherches arch\u00e9ologiques, les habitants d\u2019Andranosoa travaillaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 le fer cinq si\u00e8cles avant Andriamanelo.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est dire que l\u2019avanc\u00e9e technologique de cette civilisation dont aucune trace \u00e9crite ni orale n\u2019a pas perdur\u00e9. Un destin rappelant celui de l\u2019Atlantide. Cependant, des fouilles arch\u00e9ologiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9es par l\u2019auteur et son \u00e9quipe. Dans laquelle se trouvent Karen Godden, entre autres, et les Malgaches Chantal Radimilahy, Retsihisatse, Ramilisonina, Lucien Rakotozafy, Bako Rasoarifetra\u2026<\/p>\n

En 725 pages, le professeur anglais Mike Parker Pearson, comme tout bon scientifique, ouvre sur la zone de recherche, les m\u00e9thodes utilis\u00e9es\u2026 Ensuite, il \u00e9voque l\u2019extinction de l\u2019Aepyornis et du Mullerornis, vers le d\u00e9but du deuxi\u00e8me mill\u00e9naire, correspondant d\u00e8s lors aux premi\u00e8res \u00ab explorations humaines \u00bb en profondeur dans la r\u00e9gion Androy.<\/p>\n

Si les premi\u00e8res occupations des zones c\u00f4ti\u00e8res ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9pertori\u00e9es quelques si\u00e8cles avant notre \u00e8re, l\u2019influence swahili semble \u00eatre plus pr\u00e9pond\u00e9rante. \u00ab Manda \u00bb, traduit comme \u00ab fortification \u00bb viendrait alors du vocabulaire swahili. Sans pour autant consid\u00e9rer cette civilisation comme islamis\u00e9e, puisqu\u2019il n\u2019y a aucune pr\u00e9sence de mosqu\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Il y a beaucoup \u00e0 dire, comme le caract\u00e8re fluvial de ces cit\u00e9s s\u00e9culaires et d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00ab urbanis\u00e9es \u00bb. Un paradoxe pour l\u2019histoire de l\u2019Androy. La r\u00e9gion a donc abrit\u00e9 la civilisation la plus avanc\u00e9e de Madagascar, mais aujourd\u2019hui est la plus pauvre du pays.<\/p>\n
