Africa-Press – Malawi. One of the country’s renowned social media commentator Joshua Chisa Mbele has challenged opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to end internal fighting. Mbele has therefore urged the party to advance uniting and rebuilding the brand the late DPP founder Bingu wa Mutharika’s legacy left.
He observed that the party which lost power during June 2020 Presidential polls could be involved in infighting while questioning its senior members what are they fighting for is it power, women or money?
The commentator is reacting to the party’s leadership crisis over the recent drama which DPP disowned Leader of Opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa’s shadow Cabinet list. The DPP claims that its leadership was not consulted which UDF Leader tupele has also expressed the same sentiments.
Writing on his Facebook page, Mbele has therefore advised Malawians on the need to seriously start looking for a suitable presidential candidate for 2025 elections saying the candidate must be of no trial and error, no mickey and church mouse.
“Most of the Tonse Alliance are unskilled, unemployed, unemployable, absolutely useless to the political and economic project of Malawi, the people are envision,’’ reads Chisa Mbele’s writing on the wall.
DPP leader and former Malawi leader has been unable to resolve the infighting despite numerous calls from within the party and political commentators.
