Africa-Press – Malawi. BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The University of Malawi Council on Monday March 21, 2022 appointed Samson Sajidu as the the University’s Vice Chancellor, replacing the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Al Mtenje.
According to the memo released by the University’s council, Sajidu and Mtenje have been directed to work hand in hand for the month of April, 2022 for smooth handovers of duties.
Mtenje was appointed the Acting Vice-Chancellor after the Vice-Chancellor Kalenga Saka was appointed Mzuzu University’s Vice-Chancellor a couple of years ago.
Sajidu held the post of Deputy Principal of Chancellor College and then Acting Principal of the College before the council decided to promote him as Vice-Chancellor of the University.
