Africa-Press – Malawi. Uganda Leader of Opposition of Parliament Mathias Mpuuga, along with four Members of the opposition are in the country for a week-long bench marking visit on legislative studies.
According to the official program by Malawi Parliament secretariat the delegation arrived on Monday, March 21, 2022. Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Mwanza lawmaker Nicholas Dausi welcomed Uganda delegation at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe.
The delegation is expected to gain insights on effective and efficient ways to hold the government accountable, how to become a credible government-in-waiting and how to build alliances for effective opposition in Parliament.
The Uganda team is also expected to meet leader of UDF and DPP in the August house. The delegation will also visit Kamuzu Mausoleum, Capital Hill Offices,Greenhouse Project and Solar Generation Plants
