Africa-Press – Malawi. One of the country’s renowned Professors of Economics from University of Malawi (UNIMA) Ben Kaluwa has died. Kaluwa has died at Mwayiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre after a short illness.
Kaluwa had been a Professor of Economics at the University of Malawi since 1994. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Edinburgh University in 1986.
Kaluwa also had a Bachelor of Social Science Degree from the University of Malawi, a Diploma in Economics and a Master of Arts Degree in Quantitative Economics from the University of East Anglia in United Kingdom. His remains will be laid to rest tomorrow at his home village in Zomba.
