Africa-Press – Malawi. Former President and opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader Peter Mutharika on Sunday, July 17, 2022 claimed that his brother late Bingu Wa Mutharika was assassinated through some poison that was put in his juice around 8am before dying two hours later.
Mutharika told the news conference at his Page House in Mangochi that he knows people who did this but says he cannot mention their names. The DPP says he does not want to start some court cases now as this might not be for the good of the nation.
Mutharika claims on late Bingu’s death as scapegoat and attention that has ran out ideas to unify division locking opposition DPP. The late Bingu dead on April 5, 2012 over cardiac arrest at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe that his death was hidden till April 7, the same year.
