Africa-Press – Malawi. Malawi national football team prolific striker and Amazulu FC new catch Frank Hellings Gabadihno Mhango has missed out on the CAF goal of the year accolade. Pape Ousmane Sakho from Senegal and Simba SC has won the award in a ceremony which took place in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday night.
Mhango’s goal against Morocco in the 2021 continental Showpiece which took place in Yaoundé Cameroon made it into the final three shortlist by CAF alongside Ousmane Sankho and Zouhair El Moutaraji of Morocco and Wydad Athletic Club.
However Frank Hellings Gabadihno Mhango failed to attend the function in Rabat,Morocco though fully sponsored by CAF due to his new club USUTHU commitments who are busy with preseason training. The attacker hailed every Malawian who voted for him through his Facebook page.
