Africa-Press – Malawi. Leader of Living Word Evangelist Church (LIWEC) Prophet Dr. F. Mbewe has challenged President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse government to champion National healing and apologize to Malawians for causing the recent violent demonstrations.
Mbewe observes that the current government is responsible for the current protests as they personally participating during the past violent demonstrations when they were in opposition.
The call comes days following recent violent protest that were staged in Lilongwe and 72 people arrested. Prophet Mbewe further warned the current administration not to overlook the seed of violence that they planted as it has caused deep wounds in the hearts of most Malawians.
The LIWEC leader then led congregants in prayers for National healing with a call for unity a nation by mobilizing tribal organizations like Chiwanja cha Ayawo ,muhlako wa alhomwe, the chewa heritage and others to live as one nation for common course. The remarks were made during Shalom morning touch services at Robins park in the city of Blantyre.
