Africa-Press – Malawi. Standard Bank UNAYO Central Region Division One League competition rages on as Lizulu Super Stars, Kasiya Hungry Tigers and Santhe ADMARC continue shinning on the summits of the three groups.
Unlike in the beginning of the season where the three teams struggled to get maximum points in their games. The teams have proved to be good when they dislodged other teams including Blue Eagles RSV, Shammah FC, Make Sure Pirates and Amboya FC who started the league on a high note.
Now Lizulu Super Stars lead group C with 21 points from 11 games, they have won 6 times, drew 3 games and lost 2 games,second placed are Kamba FC who have 17 points from 9 games,Balang’ombe Real Bombers are on third in the group with 17 points from 11 games with Mapokezi FC on position 4 with 15 points from 10 games.
Kasiya Hungry Tigers FC lead group A with 22 points from 10 games while Make Sure Pirates FC are second with 19 points from 8 games,Obings Pirates and Hope Academy FC occupies positions three and four ties on 17 points and games played 9 only goal differences separates the two sides.
However in the same group,Likuni Spurs and Ocasor are yet to win a match after playing 7 games each. Blue Eagles RSV Coach, Ackim Kazombo, acknowledged the team is not doing well in the division one UNAYO league.
Kazombo however attributed it to lack of experience amongst his boys who have just graduated from FCB Under 20. He also added that his key players were rested for several games as they were taking their Junior Certificate Examinations.
Kazombo vowed to come back and start winning games and was optimistic of qualifying to the second round of the league. While Alick Zulu, Santhe ADMARC FC Coach, hailed his boys for the hard working spirit but was quick to mention that despite shining in their group they are also meeting challenges especially in the part of officiation.
Zulu, however said he will encourage his players to continue working hard and achieve their goal which is grabbing the championship of the MK15.3 million Standard Bank UNAYO Central region division one league and get promotion to Chipiku Premier division.
CRFA has outlined more exciting games in the league for week 16,Young Professionals are up against Mapokezi FC at Ntcheu Secondary School, Nsaru United will take on Simulemba United at Nsaru ground on Saturday while Santhe ADMARC meets Dzenza FC at Santhe ground, Lizulu Super Stars FC will play Blue Eagles FC at Mlanda ground, Mtengenji Monaco FC are up against Amboya FC at Chiponde,Zaithwa FC versus Mahempe FC,Make Sure Pirates FC versus Kasiya Hungry Tigers FC on Sunday.
