Africa-Press – Malawi. In a bid to tighten the country’s security, President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse Alliance government is up with operation Sesani Mbava targeting thieves and asylum seekers that are selling untheorized commodities on the local markets including maize .
Homeland and Security Minister Zikhale Ng’oma told The Maravi Post on Sunday in an interview that any Malawian harboring foreigners in their homes will be smoked out.
He observes that business persons are using Mchinji and Mwanza boarders in trading maize to foreign countries. Ng’oma said ministry will block all the boarder posts over illegal foreigners invasion on maize trading.
He said since the removal of asylum seekers was already instituted he will use the same platform to remove them from local communities. The minister therefore warned against business persons against of trading maize outside the country saying law enforcers officers will go after them.
