Malawi Service Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy launched by Homeland Ministry

Africa-Press – Malawi. In line with Government measures to ensure that employers have developed and implement sexual harassment in the workplace, Ministry of Homeland have launched Malawi Service Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy.

Launching the policy, Minister of Homeland security, Zikhale Ng’oma said the policy will provide an environment in which violations can be prevented. Ng’oma said government has legislations that promote human rights including the bill of rights as enshrined in the constitution of Malawi under chapter IV of the Gender equality act of 2013.

He commends Police Service for taking steps to develop the anti-sexual harassment policy. The program has been developed by the Nations Development Program (UNDP).
