Africa-Press – Malawi. The CDH Investment Bank has made a commitment of K10 million in support of the Nation Publications Limited’s (NPL) annual Mothers’ Fun Run initiative scheduled for Saturday, November 22 2025 in Kasungu.
Speaking during the official handover ceremony, Chief Human Capital Development Officer for CDH, Ivy Kwatiwani said the gesture is inline with the institution’s mission of giving back to the community and that they thought it wise to partner NPL through its initiative as it plays a vital role in ensuring that mothers are well taken care and fight against cases of unexpected deaths among women who lost life when they’re in the process of giving birth.
“Healthcare services for every human being is very key and mothers deserve special care when giving birth because they always go through a number of difficulties which has previously contributed to unnecessary and rampant deaths.
“The introduction of NPL Mothers’ Fun Run has really improved the situation and as CDH we really appreciate their great efforts being made,” said Kwatiwani.
In his remarks, Nation on Sunday Editor, Emmanuel Luciano applauded CDH for the support which he described it as timely.
“This support will play a significant part in making sure that this year’s initiative meet its main intended purpose of protecting as well as saving women, child, and patients,” said Luciano.
According to Luciano, all the resources which will be realized in this year’s activity will be channeled to Kasungu District Hospital.
