Africa-Press – Malawi. Police in Ntcheu have arrested a 24-year-old man, Samuel Maonga, for allegedly forcing two boys to remove human faeces using their mouths.
According to Ntcheu Police Station Public Relations Officer, Inspector Jacob Khembo, the incident occurred on November 28, 2025 at Maonga Village under Traditional Authority Njolomole.Inspector Khembo said the two minors, aged 9 and 11, had gone hunting in the bush and relieved themselves in an uncleared field, which angered the suspect.
Although he initially warned the children, he returned the following day, took them to the same field and allegedly forced them to move the faeces. When they refused, he intimidated them and compelled them to use their mouths.
“This was a deeply disturbing act that has left the minors traumatised. As police, we condemn such behaviour in the strongest terms, and we acted swiftly upon receiving the report to ensure the suspect was apprehended,” said Inspector Khembo.
The children’s parents noticed unusual behaviour and loss of appetite when the boys returned home.
Upon questioning, the minors narrated the ordeal and were taken to Biliwiri Health Centre for mental health support. Health personnel then advised the parents to report the matter to police.
Maonga was later arrested and will appear in court soon to answer a charge of maliciously administering poison with intent to harm or annoy, contrary to Section 240 of the Penal Code.
He comes from Maonga Village under Traditional Authority Njolomole in Ntcheu District.
