NPM Officially Opens Voting for Mid-Year Awards

Africa-Press – Malawi. National Product Magazine (NPM) has officially opened public voting for its highly anticipated Mid-Year Awards, following the successful completion of a rigorous and transparent nomination process.

Voting commenced on 1st April and will run for a period of three weeks, offering the public an opportunity to actively support and recognize outstanding individuals, brands, and organizations that have demonstrated excellence across key sectors of the economy.

This year’s awards celebrate achievement in a diverse range of categories, including Business and Agricultural Products, Innovation, Agribusiness, Services, Entrepreneurship, CEO Leadership, and Fashion. The initiative continues to spotlight both established and emerging players who are driving growth, creativity, and impact within their industries.

With a strategic focus on national development, NPM has placed strong emphasis on the agriculture sector this year. As Malawi continues to push for increased exports and stronger foreign exchange reserves in its banking system, agriculture stands at the center of this vision. Notably, over 60 percent of this year’s nominees are from the agriculture sector—highlighting its influence and importance.

Additionally, much of the manufacturing industry depends on agricultural raw materials, further cementing agriculture’s role in both industrial growth and export expansion.

In recognition of the growing impact of digital media, NPM has also introduced nominations for online journalists who are working tirelessly to report on agriculture and business developments. This category aims to honor their contribution in promoting awareness, information sharing, and sector visibility.

Adding to the significance of this year’s event, NPM will celebrate a major milestone—its 125th edition—during the Mid-Year Awards. This achievement marks a remarkable journey in championing business excellence and supporting national progress.

“The Mid-Year Awards are not just about recognition, but about inspiring progress and celebrating those who are shaping the future of business and agriculture,” NPM stated.

Members of the public are encouraged to take part in the voting process and support their preferred nominees as anticipation builds toward the awards ceremony.

The NPM Mid-Year Awards continue to stand as a powerful platform that promotes excellence, honors achievement, and strengthens the visibility of key economic sectors.
