FDH’s Nkunika Named Among Africa’s Top 100 Marketing Leaders

Africa-Press – Malawi. FDH Bank plc Head of Digital Financial Services, Levie Nkunika, has been recognised among Africa’s 100 most impactful marketing, brand, and reputation leaders—marking a significant milestone for both the institution and Malawi’s marketing industry.

The inaugural Africa CMO 100 (ACMO100), compiled by Brand Africa, celebrates leaders who demonstrate exceptional brand stewardship, sharp consumer insight, sustained revenue growth, and strong market positioning across the continent.

Reacting to the recognition, Nkunika described the honour as both humbling and energising, noting that it strengthens FDH Bank’s position within the competitive marketing landscape while reinforcing his personal commitment to delivering impact.

“Being named among the Top 100 Chief Marketing Officers in Africa is both humbling and deeply motivating. This recognition reflects the unwavering support of my executives, peers, and the dedication of my team,” he said.

He also commended the Institute of Marketing in Malawi (IMM) for its role in advancing the marketing profession and elevating Malawian talent onto bigger platforms.

“I am grateful to IMM for fostering excellence and increasing the visibility of Malawian professionals. I have embraced the role of a growth architect—leveraging data, technology, and customer insight,” he added.

Nkunika emphasised that the recognition underscores the growing importance of strategic influence and innovation as Malawi continues to shape its industrial narrative and assert its presence on both continental and global stages.

Weighing in on the achievement, Daniel Ngwira, Director of Communications and Public Relations at IMM, said the honour reflects the rising impact of Malawian marketing professionals.

“This recognition shows that our professionals are not only influencing their organisations but also contributing meaningfully to the growth of the marketing profession through IMM. It should inspire both current and future generations,” he said.

Ngwira added that the accolade signals the beginning of even greater recognition for Malawian marketers, expressing confidence that more professionals will rise to influential roles locally and internationally.

Also featured on the prestigious list is Sobhuza Ngwenya, Marketing Director for Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) plc, further cementing Malawi’s growing footprint in Africa’s marketing leadership space.
