Lawyer and veteran promoter Jai Banda popularly known as Mr Entertainer will have his story told in a non-fiction motion picture set to be released later this year.
Mr Entertainer, who has been decorated with the Lifetime Award by Maso awards, said yesterday he was excited that his story has been documented.
“This means a lot especially that I am still alive. Many stories are told when someone is gone but when one is done during one’s life, it means there is something right I have been doing to society,” the founder of Entertainers Promotions, which is now spearheaded by his son Tonderai, said.
The documentary intended to document reality will not only feature his story in the creative sector but also his journey as a lawyer.
“I have been a lawyer for high profile people like former President Bakili Muluzi, who also speaks in the documentary, Minister of Foreign Affairs George Chaponda and Lutepo,” he said.

Now in his 60s, Mr Entertainer said the documentary also walks up through his undertakings as a lawyer in issues of money laundering legislation and setting up Financial Intelligence Authority.
On the creative side, Mr Entertainer has been vibrant fashioning events such as Reggae By Foot as well as giving artists nicknames such as Anthony Makondetsa, who he named Mr Cool, Skeffa Chimoto – Jamming Machine and Lucius Banda – Soldier.
