Africa-Press – Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>A 29-year-old bachelor in United Kingdom has plastered himself on billboards in a bid to find a wife. Mohammad Malik has launched a billboard campaign to help him find his soulmate. He has put up ads in London and Birmingham with the caption \u2018Save me from an arranged marriage\u2019 He has also set up a website findmalikawife.com as part of his campaign.<\/p>\n

The London-based bank consultant told UK media that he took the unusual approach to find romance after the usual methods of meeting \u2018the one\u2019 did not bear fruit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had to get a billboard to get seen!<\/p>\n

\u201cMy ideal partner would be a Muslim woman in her 20s, who\u2019s striving to better her deen.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m open to any ethnicity but I\u2019ve got a loud Punjabi family \u2013 so you\u2019d need to keep with the bants.\u201d He also stressed that his search for love was genuine and that he is not against arranged marriages but just wants to find someone on his own.<\/p>\n

The BBC reported that since putting up the adverts on Saturday, Malik has had hundreds of messages expressing interest. \u201cI haven\u2019t had the time to look through yet,\u201d he said. \u201cI need to set some time aside \u2013 I hadn\u2019t thought this part through.\u201d The billboards are expected to remain up until 14 January this year.<\/p>\n
