Let students from US, UK, Canada, Australia etc write IELTS for research purposes<\/p>\n<p>If they have a score significantly higher than what most Nigerians get, then I&#8217;ll agree we need it If not, then d test is just a money making scheme, &amp; Nigeria is the market@ukhomeoffice#IELTS<\/p>\n<p>The test of English-language proficiency for non-native English-language speakers is mostly managed by the British Council at a cost of $200 (\u00a3151) which is valid for two years.<\/p>\n<p>Many have wondered why the results should last for two years claiming that is a way of distorting money from people and also preventing many Nigerians from travelling to the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Dear UK Home Office, There is no valid reason, apart from financial why IELTS should expire in two years.
