{"id":26018,"date":"2022-07-05T21:26:17","date_gmt":"2022-07-05T21:26:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/malawi\/all-news\/nrwb-hands-over-multimillion-refuse-trucks-to-nkhata-bay-council"},"modified":"2022-07-05T21:45:14","modified_gmt":"2022-07-05T21:45:14","slug":"nrwb-hands-over-multimillion-refuse-trucks-to-nkhata-bay-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/malawi\/all-news\/nrwb-hands-over-multimillion-refuse-trucks-to-nkhata-bay-council","title":{"rendered":"NRWB hands over multimillion refuse trucks to Nkhata Bay Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>The Northern Region Water Board (NRWB) on Wednesday officially handed over two multimillion Kwacha state of the art refuse collection trucks to Nkhata Bay District Council.<\/p>\n<p>The HINO trucks worth K146 million are part of the K1.75 billion Nkhata Bay Town Water and Sanitation Project that the board is implementing in order to expand water supply and facilitate sanitation in the lakeshore district.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during the handover ceremony, NRWB Board Chairperson, Engineer James Munthali, expressed hope that the vehicles would be utilised towards improved sanitation efforts.
