{"id":26217,"date":"2022-07-07T21:41:05","date_gmt":"2022-07-07T21:41:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/malawi\/all-news\/malawis-dedza-sex-worker-arrested-for-killing-her-own-newly-born-baby"},"modified":"2022-07-07T22:02:24","modified_gmt":"2022-07-07T22:02:24","slug":"malawis-dedza-sex-worker-arrested-for-killing-her-own-newly-born-baby","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/malawi\/all-news\/malawis-dedza-sex-worker-arrested-for-killing-her-own-newly-born-baby","title":{"rendered":"Malawi\u2019s Dedza sex worker arrested for killing her own newly born baby"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>Malawi Police in Dedza are keeping in custody a 21-year old sex worker identified as Queen Galinja for allegedly killing and dumping her own newly born baby into a bush opposite Kalinyeke Toll gate.<\/p>\n<p>Galinja was arrested on Saturday Morning, June 25, 2022 at Kalinyeke Trading Centre after residents tipped Dedza Police that they had found found remains of the newly born baby wrapped in a bed sheet in the bush.<\/p>\n<p>The team of Police Officers accompanied by hospital personnel rushed to the scene and collected the remains of the baby whose other parts were already eaten by dogs.<\/p>\n<p>An autopsy report conducted by Medical Personnel at Dedza District Hospital revealed that the baby died either from hypothermal due to environmental exposure to freezing temperature after being abandoned in the bush or loss of blood after being eaten by dogs.
