Following the closure of Civo Stadium as it is going through massive maintenances and rehabilitations ahead of African Union Region 5 Youth games which the country is anticipated to host in December.<\/p>\n<p>Kamuzu Barracks FC who uses the facility as their home alongside Civil Service United have been left homeless,this has prompted the authorities of the two teams to start searching for another habitat.<\/p>\n<p>As per Malawi Defence Force side General Secretary Christopher Njeula the effort was made to have Nankhaka Stadium in area 30 as their home but they have been given a cold shoulder hence settling for the newly built ground Champion located in Mponela,Dowa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have settled for Champion Stadium in Dowa after our colleagues from area 30 communicated that Nankhaka is busy as SARPICCO preps,Women football team,their reserve are also using the facility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will give platform to people of Dowa to have a feel of TNM Super League games. We believe this will also have an added advantage as far as gate revenue is concerned. We will play our second round league and cup games in Dowa\u201d, Njeula narrated.<\/p>\n<p>Kamuzu Barracks FC are expected to play in Airtel top 8 after finishing on position 5 in the TNM Superleague first round with 26 points from 15 games.<\/p>\n<p>The Chioko based side also made it through into the last 16 of Pachema FDH Bank Cup after defeating fellow Soldiers MDF Marine in the round of 32.
