Africa-Press – Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>Former President who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) President Peter Mutharika has denied rumours circulating on social media that he has endorsed one of the party\u2019s aspirants Dalitso Kabambe ahead of the next year\u2019s presidency convention.<\/p>\n

In a statement through his Spokesperson Shadric Namalomba, Mutharika has also trashed other rumours alleging that his wife Gertrude Mutharika has endorsed Bright Msaka as anointed candidate for the DPP presidency.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll this is not true. His Excellency, the president would like to advise all DPP followers and the general public that no one has been endorsed and or dumped by the president and the former first lady. The opposition DPP is currently in a leadership crisis since the party lost June 20, 2022 Presidential polls.<\/p>\n
