Africa-Press – Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>Minister of Information and Digitisation, Gospel Kazako, has described findings of the recent Afrobarometer survey as a blessing in disguise and an opportunity for the Tonse Alliance government to improve.<\/p>\n

Kazako was reacting to a report, which has put the majority of Malawians losing trust in Tonse administration. He said the government is not moved with the report and it has no issues or problems with it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn fact this report was done in February 2022, at that time Malawians had to react in that way because most of the developments we have in place now had not taken shape,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Kazako believed if the Afrobarometer can do something now then certainly the results would be different. He said Malawians now have totally different views after six months of the report as witnessed in the by-elections where Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has won in Chitipa and Karonga.<\/p>\n

Adding that there are a lot of developments currently underway in this administration like roads, bridges, health posts, revamping agriculture sector and continuation of developments left by the previous administration.<\/p>\n

Malawians are looking for solutions, they would want their lives to be better, to afford things as we agree with certain aspects of their concerns like cost of living which has gone up, he said. Kazako said the government remains focused on doing what Malawians want to see done.<\/p>\n
