Africa-Press – Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>UNC Project Malawi Cancer Program Lead Researcher Dr. Bongani Kayimila and his father Wales Kayimila have died in Mzimba District after a vehicle they were travelling in was involved in an accident.<\/p>\n

According to Mzimba Police Spokesperson, Peter Botha, the vehicle which the two were travelling in (Mazda Premacy) overturned after hitting another vehicle (Toyota Hilux) yesterday, the 4th of November, at Tafika on the Mzuzu-Kasungu M1 road.<\/p>\n

It is said that the driver of the Mazda Premacy was attempting to make a U-turn on the M1 when it collided with a speeding Toyota Hilux 4\u00d74 coming from Mzuzu.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe son, who was driving the Mazda Premacy, died on the spot, while the father died later at Mzimba District Hospital,\u201d Botha said.<\/p>\n

Botha also said another passenger in the Mazda, a woman, and all the people in the Toyota Hilux sustained some injuries and were all rushed to the hospital.<\/p>\n
