Africa-Press – Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>In relation to Chakwera national address, Leader of Opposition, Kondwani Nankhumwa has asked President Lazarus Chakwera to explain to Malawians the allegations of his son and his cousin involvement in Affordable Inputs product (AIP)fraud.<\/p>\n

Nankhumwa told journalist in Lilongwe in a media briefing that Chakwera should not take side in making decisions on issues of to do with who engages in AIP fraud. Nankhumwa said Malawians should not be over excites over the firing of Former Agriculture Minister Lobin Lowe as the story has more to be desired.<\/p>\n

Leader of Opposition said Chakwera\u2019s idea of pointing figure on the Chairperson for committee on Agriculture, Sammeer Suleiman for revealing the thirty billion fraud is uncalled for.<\/p>\n

He said Chakwera should not intimidate Parliament as it is mandated to oversee issues to do with National importance. He said Tonse regime should explain to Malawians allegations that the AIP fertilizer which is arriving in this country already expired.<\/p>\n

He said Chakwera national address leaves a lot to be desired as he did not indicate overly critical issues which Malawians are eager to hear. He adds that Chakwera should also react to Chancellor College closure as he promised never to close any of the colleges.<\/p>\n

He has asked Chakwera dissolve his cabinet and have eighteen ministers only and reduce his personal advisors in line with the country\u2019s economy. The Opposition leader has asked the President to minimise his international trips and resolve current issues on the ground the likes of forex, fuel just to mention a few.<\/p>\n

He therefore asked Chakwera to call for all-inclusive meeting with the academia, faith leaders and other stakeholders to produce solutions on how to deal with the current economic crisis.<\/p>\n
