According to the National Statistical Office (NSO), Food and Non-Food Inflation rates are at 34.5 and 18.6 percent, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe national month to month Inflation rate for October 2022 stands at 4.0 percent. Food inflation rate is at 6.3 percent while Non-Food Inflation rate is at 1.4 percent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe urban month to month inflation rate is at 3.1 percent. Urban Food and Non-Food inflation rates stand at 5.8 and 0.7 percent, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe rural month to month inflation rate is at 4.5 percent. Rural Food and Non-food inflation rates stand at 6.5 and 1.8 percent, respectively,\u201d the NSO has said in a statement today. The year on year inflation rate has increased from 25.9 percent in September this year. In October, 2021 the rate was around 10 percent.<\/p>\n<p>According to Investopedia, headline inflation is not adjusted to remove highly volatile figures, including those that can shift regardless of economic conditions. Headline inflation is also closely related to shifts in the cost of living.
