Africa-Press – Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>A thug last night broke into a house in Kasungu where he killed a three-year-old girl with albinism before chopping off her arm. The incident happened on November 30, 2022 around 11pm at Mawawa Village in Traditional Authority (TA) Chulu in the district.<\/p>\n

According to Kasungu Police Public Relations Officer, Sub Inspector Joseph Kachikho, the girl has been identified as Talandira Chirwa. Kachikho said the child was sleeping with her grandmother when the man broke into the house.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the said night an unidentified man forcibly broke into the house and stabbed the child on the neck and chopped off the arm and went away with it,\u201d said Kachikho.<\/p>\n

Kachikho added that investigations are underway to trace and arrest the suspect. Persons with albinism are attacked in Malawi due to myths that their bones can be used to create good luck charms.<\/p>\n
