Africa-Press – Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>Global professional network platform, LinkedIn, has introduced a feature that enables recruiters to easily identify potential individuals to hire dubbed \u2018I\u2019m interested.’<\/p>\n

This newly updated button feature has eased the burden of job hunting as people can be easily recruited by a company once they signal their interest in the company that has an ongoing recruitment process.<\/p>\n

Through this, the profile and information of a user are shared privately with the recruiters at the company for future consideration without applying for a specific role. To access it, here\u2019s what you need to do;<\/p>\n

1.<\/b> Log into your LinkedIn app<\/p>\n

2.<\/b> On the search bar, key in the name of the company you are interested in.<\/p>\n

3.<\/b> Click \u201cview page\u201d of the company you searched for<\/p>\n

4.<\/b> Once on the company\u2019s page, click \u201cAbout\u201d<\/p>\n

5.<\/b> Under the \u201cOverview section\u201d click on the \u201cI\u2019m interested\u201d icon<\/p>\n

Once you click on it, recruiters at the firm will view your profile when searching for interested candidates. Recruiters within the company can share your profile with one another to find a suitable candidate.<\/p>\n

User\u2019s privacy is protected and other recruiters will be unable to see the declared interests of companies. According to Linkedin, the interest expressed will expire after a year and recruiters will be unable to see it. One can equally remove their declaration of interest by clicking undo and also manage the interest that has been shared. To achieve this;<\/p>\n

1.<\/b> On the LinkedIn homepage, click on your profile photo icon found in the top left corner<\/p>\n

2.<\/b> Click \u201csettings\u201d<\/p>\n

3.<\/b> Then proceed to click \u201cdata privacy\u201d<\/p>\n

4.<\/b> Click on \u201cmanage your data and activity\u201d<\/p>\n

5.<\/b> Click on the down arrow next to \u201c you expressed interest in future roles at (company x)\u201d and select \u201cdelete data\u201d<\/p>\n

Linkedin is committed to protecting its user’s data by allowing them to restrict the amount of profile information that can be viewed, create a custom-made public profile URL and block inappropriate content.<\/p>\n
