This is exactly what President Lazarus Chakwera did by inviting Melinda Gates, Co-Chair of Gates and Melinda Foundation in the country to express gratitude for the Foundation\u2019s contributions to different socioeconomic programmes in the country.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, President Chakwera thanked Madam Gates for her Foundation\u2019s $76 million package financing various socioeconomic programmes in Malawi.<\/p>\n

President Chakwera also seized an opportunity during the interface to present a framework for scaling up the Gates Foundation support in the future, particularly in the areas of women and girls empowerment through the provision of education, entrepreneurship, health and digital services.<\/p>\n

In her remarks, Madam Gates said he was thrilled to have an opportunity to work with the Malawi Head of State in building a partnership between her organization and the Malawi government.<\/p>\n

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is a philanthropic organisation founded on the premise of fighting poverty, diseases and inequalities around the world with the war chest in excess of $60 billion.<\/p>\n
