My first one was a nine-hour flight. I couldn\u2019t believe it. I also underwent the same rigorous medical tests including HIV tests. It was therefore not surprising that most of my colleagues shunned the venture.<\/p>\n

The only difference is that my destination was not a war-torn country like Israel. Another difference is that I went to a foreign country for a professional business and not for unskilled labour.<\/p>\n

However, that was a decade ago, so I still find it discriminatory now to undergo an HIV test as a requirement for recruitment. Truth be told, I have lost friends and relatives who are not on Antiretroviral therapy leaving those who were discriminated against.<\/p>\n

Exporting labour benefits a foreign country more than our own state. First, exporting labour literally means that the state is authorising the separation of families, a primary sociological group.<\/p>\n

As the State President, Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera is mandated to enhance the sovereignty and unity of Malawians. Second, by authorising the separation of families and relatives, President Chakwera is formally diluting the cultural values of the land.<\/p>\n

The identity of the nation is recognised by its language and cultural values which President Chakwera is mandated to protect. It is therefore recommended that the Chakwera regime should consult widely before making a decision that affects the lives of Malawians.<\/p>\n

A proactive approach to pertinent issues must be graciously adhered to. Therefore, President Chakwera is highly advised to put in place strategies that will create jobs here in Malawi by means of industrialisation. In conclusion, exporting finished products will earn more forex than depositing salaries in local personal accounts from Israel.<\/p>\n
