Africa-Press – Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>After missing out of the limelight for some time, musician Robertson has resurfaced with an Extended Playlist (EP) titled Adha. He said yesterday that the four-track EP features soul-stirring songs that delve into the rich tapestry of Malawian sound and culture.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Adha, I am taking my artistry to new heights by pushing the boundaries of conventional norms, embarking on an exploration of the true essence of Malawian music,\u201d Robertson Nyimbo, real name Robertson Nkhonjera, said.<\/p>\n

He said that this music odyssey is not just an EP, but rather \u201cit is a celebration of the deep roots and traditional sounds that are often overlooked but are an integral part of Malawi\u2019s cultural heritage\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe EP glorifies God, infusing spirituality into each track and creating a masterpiece that resonates with the soul,\u201d the youthful musician said.<\/p>\n

In the EP, the artist has done two songs in Tonga, the title track \u2018Adha\u2019 and \u2018Walivi Pamampha\u2019. He joins artists such as Machuluka, who have kept their music thriving with Tonga beats.<\/p>\n

\u201cI decided to tap into Tonga because it is my mother language and, so, this is part of appreciating the language and also preserving Tonga\u2019s musical heritage,\u201d Robertson Nyimbo said.<\/p>\n

His EP follows the release of his other tracks \u2018Zanga Zina\u2019 and \u2018Malire\u2019. Robertson Nyimbo has two albums to his credit namely Mapalo and Unquestionable God.<\/p>\n
