{"id":64484,"date":"2024-10-28T23:45:21","date_gmt":"2024-10-28T23:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/malawi\/all-news\/queens-ready-to-face-sa-in-spar-challenge-test-series"},"modified":"2024-10-28T23:50:17","modified_gmt":"2024-10-28T23:50:17","slug":"queens-ready-to-face-sa-in-spar-challenge-test-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/malawi\/all-news\/queens-ready-to-face-sa-in-spar-challenge-test-series","title":{"rendered":"Queens ready to face SA in Spar Challenge Test Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Malawi. <\/strong><\/span><b>By Mphatso Malidadi &amp; Llywellenie Mpasa:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Malawi National Netball Team Coach Joanna Kachilika has expressed confidence in her squad\u2019s readiness for the Spar Challenge International Netball Test Series against South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The Queens are expected to leave the country this morning through Chileka International Airport in Blantyre for Johannesburg where they will take on South Africa in three Test Matches slated for October 31, November 2 and 3 at Ellis Park Arena, in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<p>Kachilika has maintained a 15-member squad which comprises six senior players and members of the Malawi Under-21 National Netball Team.<\/p>\n<p>Kachilika, speaking on Saturday after the Queens defeated male netball side Akabawi 74-54 at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (Kuhes) Sports Complex, said her charges were tactically and physically ready for the challenge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have prepared thoroughly and I believe the team has made significant improvements in all areas we have been working on,\u201d Kachilika said.<\/p>\n<p>The game highlighted the squad\u2019s improved synergy on the court, as well as their agility and ability to execute strategies effectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur game against Akabawi gave us the chance to put our game plans into practice and the outcome was promising.
