Africa-Press<\/a> – Malawi<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>A 24-year-old man has been arrested in Thyolo for raping a child aged 8. The man has been identified as Aaron Precious Namagonya, 24, of Maonga Village, Traditional Authority (T\/A) Mphuka in the district.<\/p>\n

Thyolo Police publicist Rebecca Kashoti said the man is suspected to have raped the child on October 3 this year around 5 pm. According to Kashoti, the child was playing with her friends and Namagonya invited her to follow him.<\/p>\n

Namagonya took the child to a maize garden where he raped her. He then gave the child K100. The girl later revealed the sexual abuse to a neighbor who then reported the issue to the child\u2019s father. Namagonya was apprehended by community policing members and was later taken to Thyolo Police Station. He will appear in court soon to answer a charge of defilement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
