Africa-Press – Malawi. <\/strong><\/span>Malawian music star Tay Grin says his proposed Malawi-Zambia Culture Exchange is all about love, rhythm, and unity \u2014 not competition.<\/p>\n

The award-winning musician and Tourism Ambassador recently took to his social media pages to challenge Zambia to a \u201cCulture Exchange\u201d \u2014 bringing together 11 artists from each country to share one stage and celebrate African creativity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not a battle; it\u2019s a celebration \u2014 a fusion of sounds, dances, and traditions that remind us Malawi and Zambia are one family,\u201d Tay Grin said. \u201cWe\u2019re not here to compete; we\u2019re here to connect.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post has since sparked excitement among fans from both countries, with many describing it as a groundbreaking idea that could redefine cultural collaboration in Southern Africa.<\/p>\n

Tay Grin, real name Limbani Kalilani, says the concept aims to build stronger creative economies by promoting partnerships between artists while boosting tourism and regional pride.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we perform together, we exchange ideas, audiences, and opportunities,\u201d he explained. \u201cThat\u2019s how we grow the industry and strengthen our creative economies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fresh from his Echoes of Greatness concert in Lilongwe \u2014 which attracted fans from across Southern and Eastern Africa \u2014 the musician continues to use his platform to promote culture and tourism through music.<\/p>\n

His latest international track, Combien?, features Awilo Longomba and Eddie Kadi, adding to collaborations with Wizkid, Vanessa Mdee, DA LES, Orezi, the Jamaican-American duo Brick & Lace, and Zambia\u2019s Yo Maps, K\u2019Millian, and Slapdee.<\/p>\n

\u201cMusic is one of our greatest diplomatic tools,\u201d Tay Grin said. \u201cIf we use it right, we won\u2019t just unite nations \u2014 we\u2019ll redefine what African unity looks like.\u201d<\/p>\n
