The call was made on Saturday in Lilongwe during a child-led engagement with the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>Chairperson of the National Children\u2019s Alliance, Hattem Hassan, urged the government to increase funding in key sectors such as education, health, agriculture, water, and sanitation, describing them as critical to children\u2019s development.<\/p>\n<p>He further expressed concern that inadequate resources in schools are putting children at risk of dropping out, a situation that undermines their right to education.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn most schools, there is a shortage of classroom blocks, leading to congestion.
