Creck Sporting Club have strengthened their technical panel with the hiring of Gerald Phiri Senior and Fischer Kondowe.<\/p>\n
Phiri Senior has signed a year-long deal as coach Ernest Mtawali\u2019s assistant while Kondowe is fitness trainer.<\/p>\n
Creck General Secretary Aaron Mtaya said they are continuing with efforts to rebuild and improve the team\u2019s performance following a difficult start to the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are delighted to welcome Gerald Phiri Senior and Fischer Kondowe to Creck Sporting Club. They bring with them vast experience and expertise that would be crucial in helping the team improve its performances and achieve better results,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The development follows the club\u2019s decision to part ways with former coach Eliyah Kananji following a disappointing start to the campaign which saw Creck collecting just five points from six matches.<\/p>\n
The poor run of results left the team rooted at the bottom of the league standings and prompted management to take decisive action. Mtaya said he was confident that the newly assembled technical panel has the experience, knowledge and leadership qualities needed to revive the club\u2019s fortunes.<\/p>\n
He said the club deliberately gave Mtawali the freedom to select members of his technical team in order to build a strong and cohesive coaching unit.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we appointed coach Mtawali, we also trusted him to identify professionals who share his vision and philosophy. We believe the technical team he has assembled has the capacity to transform the club\u2019s fortunes,\u201d Mtaya said.<\/p>\n

He added that club management remains committed to supporting the coaching staff as they work towards lifting the team from the lower end of the table.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur objective is to see Creck Sporting competing strongly and moving up the standings.
