Le chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat Emmanuel Macron a pr\u00e9sid\u00e9 un conseil de d\u00e9fense ce mardi matin, notamment sur l\u2019avenir de l\u2019op\u00e9ration Barkhane.<\/p>\n<p>Mardi matin, Emmanuel Macron a convoqu\u00e9 un conseil de d\u00e9fense consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 la situation internationale. \u00c0 propos de la crise ukrainienne d\u2019abord, mais aussi au regard de ce regain de tension avec le Mali, apr\u00e8s la d\u00e9cision de la junte militaire au pouvoir d\u2019expulser l\u2019ambassadeur fran\u00e7ais . L\u2019ambassadeur, Jo\u00ebl Meyer, a trois jours pour quitter le pays. Les autorit\u00e9s maliennes ont justifi\u00e9 cette d\u00e9cision par les r\u00e9centes d\u00e9clarations \u201chostiles\u201d de responsables fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 leur encontre. La France prend acte de ce renvoi. Quelles cons\u00e9quences cette brouille diplomatique peut-elle avoir sur la pr\u00e9sence des forces fran\u00e7aises dans le pays, autrement dit l\u2019op\u00e9ration Barkhane\u202f?<\/p>\n<p>All\u00e8gement des troupes en cours C\u2019est une situation inconfortable pour les arm\u00e9es parce que les soldats fran\u00e7ais ne peuvent pas, du jour au lendemain, stopper les combats. Au contraire, se calfeutrer dans Gao, l\u2019\u00e9picentre de la logistique militaire au Sahel , ce serait s\u2019enfermer dans un pi\u00e8ge et s\u2019exposer aux attaques terroristes. Alors Barkhane a entam\u00e9 un processus d\u2019all\u00e8gement : il y a 4.800 soldats fran\u00e7ais en ce moment. L\u2019objectif est de r\u00e9duire le contingent \u00e0 2.500 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 2023. Mais quitter le Mali, c\u2019est une d\u00e9cision politique. Elle n\u2019appartient qu\u2019\u00e0 Emmanuel Macron, le chef des arm\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>O\u00f9 installer la force europ\u00e9enne Takuba ? En attendant, l\u2019option de cr\u00e9er une bulle de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 autour du pays est \u00e9tudi\u00e9e. Mais alors, o\u00f9 installer le gros des troupes ? Il y a le Niger. Mais le probl\u00e8me, c\u2019est que le pays ne veut pas accueillir Takuba, la force sp\u00e9ciale europ\u00e9enne. Autre possibilit\u00e9, le Tchad, mais c\u2019est beaucoup plus loin de la zone des combats.
