Une narration chronologique des faits dans un style simple et adapt\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ouvrage \u00e9crit en plusieurs chapitres, brosse l\u2019histoire sociopolitique du r\u00e9gime militaire de Moussa Traor\u00e9. Chapitre par chapitre, le lecteur est situ\u00e9 sur le Comit\u00e9 militaire de Lib\u00e9ration nationale (CMLN), l\u2019embastillement des syndicats et de leurs dirigeants, la cr\u00e9ation en 1974 d\u2019un parti politique par la junte militaire : l\u2019Union D\u00e9mocratique du Peuple Malien (UDPM). La tenue du 1er congr\u00e8s officiel de l\u2019Union nationale des El\u00e8ves et Etudiants du Mali (Uneem), la rencontre entre le Pr\u00e9sident Moussa Traor\u00e9 et une d\u00e9l\u00e9gation de l\u2019Uneem. Aussi, l\u2019arrestation des responsables de l\u2019Uneem et l\u2019assassinat de son Secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, Abdoul Karim Camara dit Cabral. Il est \u00e9galement fait cas de l\u2019emprisonnement des cadres maliens au bagne de Kidal et leur lib\u00e9ration, du boycott des examens de fin d\u2019ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019auteur aborde la tourn\u00e9e de l\u2019Uneem dans la sous-r\u00e9gion et aupr\u00e8s du Pr\u00e9sident en exercice de l\u2019OUA, son Excellence Siaka Stevens du Liberia, suivie du retour de la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation au Mali pour la restitution de leur mission aupr\u00e8s des camarades.<\/p>\n<p>Mamoutou Thiam raconte son exfiltration vers la Guin\u00e9e, sa nouvelle vie d\u2019exil\u00e9 \u00e0 Conakry pendant sa lutte dans le cadre de l\u2019Uneem, la reprise des cours et des activit\u00e9s sportives \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole. Le lecteur y d\u00e9couvre la mort brutale du responsable supr\u00eame de la R\u00e9volution guin\u00e9enne, Ahmed S\u00e9kou Tour\u00e9, les \u00e9changes de correspondances entre les camarades rest\u00e9s sur le terrain au Mali et ceux en exil. Etant en exil en Guin\u00e9e, il est soumis \u00e0 une formation militaire au Camp Soundiata Keita 1\u00e8re Zone militaire de Kindia. Il est tant\u00f4t fonctionnaire, tant\u00f4t agent du secteur priv\u00e9. 17 ans plus tard, il foule le sol malien. Mamoutou Thiam est rentr\u00e9 d\u00e9finitivement au bercail, suite \u00e0 l\u2019insurrection populaire contre le Pr\u00e9sident Moussa Traor\u00e9 en 1990. Il a eu la chance de participer \u00e0 la Conf\u00e9rence nationale.<\/p>\n<p>Dans son pays, M. Thiam conna\u00eet la vie de fonctionnaire. Il est nomm\u00e9 Charg\u00e9 de Mission au cabinet du minist\u00e8re des Zones Arides et Semi-Arides (Mzasa).
