Celle-ci pr\u00e9cise que \u00ab Cette ann\u00e9e cette date tombe sur le 28 juillet. Cela veut dire que durant les 156 jours qu\u2019il reste d\u2019ici le 31 d\u00e9cembre notre consommation de ressources renouvelables va consister \u00e0 grignoter le capital naturel de la plan\u00e8te. Cette date est aussi une autre mani\u00e8re de dire que nous consommons 75% davantage que ce que la plan\u00e8te peut produire de mani\u00e8re durable. Formul\u00e9e diff\u00e9remment, nous consommons autant que si nous avions 1 plan\u00e8te 75 \u00e0 notre disposition \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Comme pour une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en d\u00e9ficit budg\u00e9taire, l\u2019humanit\u00e9 rentre dans une sorte de d\u00e9ficit \u00e9cologique en consommant plus que la terre n\u2019est capable de produire. Le calcul de ce jour de d\u00e9passement se fait en prenant en compte deux param\u00e8tres principaux appel\u00e9s la biocapacit\u00e9 et l\u2019empreinte \u00e9cologique. A partir de ceux-ci, chaque ann\u00e9e, l\u2019organisation arrive \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer la date o\u00f9 l\u2019humanit\u00e9 entre en d\u00e9ficit \u00e9cologique.<\/p>\n<p>Global Footprint Network a entrepris cette activit\u00e9 de calcul depuis plus de 4 d\u00e9cennies d\u00e9j\u00e0. Et depuis 1971 jusqu\u2019aujourd\u2019hui, ce jour de d\u00e9passement ne cesse de s\u2019\u00e9loigner de la fin d\u2019ann\u00e9e civile, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire le 31 D\u00e9cembre. La \u201ccause majeure du d\u00e9passement\u201d r\u00e9side dans un \u201csyst\u00e8me agricole et alimentaire non-soutenable\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>Ces donn\u00e9es peuvent \u00eatre interpr\u00e9t\u00e9es diff\u00e9remment et suivant la sensibilit\u00e9 des politiques climatiquqes.
