Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Ambassador-Designate of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) for the Indian Ocean, Mr Leonard Emile Ognimba, met this afternoon, the Minister of Land Transport and Light Rail, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Mr.
Alan Ganoo, in Port-Louis. In a statement, Mr Leonard Emile Ognimba expressed gratitude to the Government for the warm and cordial welcome that he has received during his visit to Mauritius.
He stated that the objective of his mission is to convey his agenda as Ambassador-Designate of the OIF, which is to maintain the best relations among all Member States as well as to promote harmonious relations in the region.
He further stated that he discussed with Minister Ganoo about the partnership that exists between the OIF, Mauritius and the Member States across the region, as well as the challenges they have to face.
The Ambassador-Designate also announced to the Minister of the forthcoming visit of the General Secretary of the OIF to Mauritius and the holding of the Summit in Tunisia in November.
