Africa-Press – Mauritius. A Policy Dialogue meeting in view of the preparation of the 2022-2023 Budget was held, this afternoon, between the Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development, Dr Renganaden Padayachy and the Minister of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation, Mr Darsanand Balgobin.
In a statement after the meeting, Minister Balgobin underlined that he discussed with the Finance Minister key projects regarding his priority of carrying forward the process of digitalisation of governmental services and implementing all ICT projects to enhance the lives of all citizens.
He dwelt on ongoing projects including E-Health, Cashless Bus Service, and E-Social Security . Our objective, he stressed, is to contribute to Government’s ongoing digitalisation plan for the country, and in that context spearhead the maximum initiatives for the benefit of the population.
The Minister recalled that the progress and future of a country can be assured through digitalisation of various sectors and enterprises. According to Mr Balgobin, it is crucial for the country to keep pace and move along with technological advances.
