Vivo Energy unveils new Drive + convenience point in Mauritius

Africa-Press – Mauritius. Vivo Energy has inaugurated its new Drive + commercial zone in Mauritius, a new location inside the service station that offers customers a mini hub of convenient services.
The installation is located in the Shell-branded forecourt of the company in the city of Floréal. The opening is part of the brand’s launch of this wide and diversified range of services offered through its new initiative.
A series of similar retail points is set to be launched on Mauritian territory in the near future to reinforce its proximity with the customer. “With a brand that has been present in Mauritius for 117 years, our stations are places of life, key relays in the development of the territory, close to the customers.

With the demographic explosion, traffic jams are becoming a major constraint in the daily life of the population. The Covid-19 has also illustrated the relevance of this intermediate format, which makes it possible to limit large gatherings,” said Stan Mittelman, CEO of Vivo Energy.

Drive + offers drivers fast food on site and takeaway and artisanal coffee through known brands, a high-end restaurant offering Indian cuisine, a boutique with an extended offer with its Shell Shop, a pharmacy that includes a consultation service, a florist, car wash and technical visits.

This makes up a unique one-stop-shop with diverse and varied offers for every driver who wants to get more than fuel at the forecourt. “The global offer proposed at the Shell Floréal station is in line with this ambition and the growth strategy of our company.

We are rolling out these station concepts on a large scale, and Mauritius is an integral part of this vision,” added Mittelman. As part of the Drive + concept, the station has installed a giant mural that overlooks the shopping area.
In addition, it makes up a friendly environment with the provision of a waste sorting system. The opening event included the presence of company and government representatives to celebrate the new installation.
