Prithvirajsing Roopun, at the State House in Réduit. Monsignor Paolo Rocco Gualtieri is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who works in the diplomatic service of the Holy See.
In a statement after the meeting, he said that during his discussion with the President, he expressed gratitude to him for the excellent relations between Mauritius and the Catholic Church.
Mgr. Paolo Rocco Gualtieri added that they spoke about the excellent relations between the Church and the Government, in particular in the education and social sectors. Furthermore, he reiterated the resolve of the Catholic Church to collaborate with the Government for the welfare of the Mauritian population.
